Look只能“看”吗？

英语中，see表示眼睛看见的东西；watch表示所看事物的变化，移动和发展；look当然不甘落后，“看”到自己力量浅薄，就四处求援，拉上几个相熟的介词朋友，一起构成动词短语，表示以“看”有关的其他含意。
look after：照看；照护；看护。
   例如：I can look after myself.    我可以自己照顾自己。
look at：看；查看。
   例如：Look at the blackboard.     看黑板。
look for：寻找。
   例如：What are you looking for？   你在找什么？
look out：当心；留神；主意看。
   例如：Look out! There is a car coming.    当心，汽车来了。
look out of：从……里往外看。
   例如：Don’t look out of the window.   不要向窗户外边看。
look up：查寻；向上望。
   例如：You can look it in the dictionary.     你可以在字典里查到它（这个单词）。
除了这些学过的单词外，look的词组还有很多，例如： look over（检查；翻阅；复习）， look through（仔细察看），look on…as（把……看作），look down upon（看不起）。我们一定要记住。

EX：用下列所给的词的适当形式填空：look out  look for   look after    look at    look up
  1、Mum：     when you go across the street, Lily.
     Lily：Don’t worry, Mum. I can     myself.
  2、The old lady is      her glasses.
  3、He always     the door in class.
  4、      your things when you are out.
  5、      and you will find a bird in the tree.
